Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel event detection algorithm in Cyber-Physical Systems that uses the concept of interrupts in embedded systems. An event is produced when a new entity emerges in an area. We use the term distributed interrupt due to the distributed nature of an emergent event. Our algorithm generates distributed interrupts using decentralized inter-node collaborations, computes interrupt latency accurately with unsynchronized nodes, produces a distributed stack that saves the current state of the distributed system, and determines the criticality of processing a distributed interrupt to compute interrupt priorities and application-specific timing constraints.
