Abstract :
The flow dynamics in the desulphurization process was numerical simulated with the turbulence κ-ε model and stochastic trajectory model using FLUENT software. The optimal operation parameters especially the position and direction of sprayer were simulated and the desulfurization efficiency was evaluated in practical operation. The mixed sprayer had higher desulphurization efficiency than that of high-and low-sprayer. The practical study indicated that although the simulated results showed that the parallel sprayer and vertical sprayer both could improve the desulfurization efficiency, the vertical sprayer might have higher efficiency in practical operation.
