Abstract :
A modified version of the pragmatic code has been designed for the laud-mobile satellite channel. It is done by the output symbol re-assignment approach. When evaluated using Monte Carlo simulation, this modified pragmatic code shows bit-error-rate improvement, typically in the region useful for digital speech applications
