Abstract :
Multi-Input-Multi-Output (MIMO) wireless technology is one of the choices to meet high bandwidth data transmission requirements. However, MIMO channel modelling poses certain amount of challenges due to interference and correlation. Fuzzy-based systems are well suited for such applications due to their ability to deal with uncertainty. Fuzzy systems rely upon Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to execute a host of implementation issues for which the combination results in either Neuro-Fuzzy System (NFS) or Fuzzy-Neural System (FNS) forms. This work describes the framework adopted to make a selection between the two options available for designing a fuzzy-based method to model MIMO channels so that reduced complexity, better precision, lower processing speed and bit error rate (BER) formulates a mechanism to deal with time-varying MIMO channels in severely faded conditions.
