Abstract
Estimation of the Point of Common Coupling (PCC) voltage was proposed in [1] exploiting deadbeat control theory and a hybrid parallel voltage and current control algorithm. This paper extends previous research to provide a dq Rotating Reference Frame (RRF) cascaded PI voltage and current control structure utilising PCC voltage estimation. In an islanded microgrid, the use of PCC voltage estimation improves Q´ power sharing under mismatched line impedances compared to other current state of the art control schemes. SABER simulations and dSPACE hardware results are provided for a two inverter microgrid to validate the decrease in Q´ power imbalance achieved.
