Abstract :
Reasonable position of customer order decoupling point is difficult in mass customization. Influence factors and their mechanism to customer order decoupling point is analyzed from such three aspects as: market, product, and production. Then, the reason and effect of customer order decoupling point upstream and downstream shift is studied. Finally, a concept model for position of customer order decoupling point is offered which is based on production flow. And, the model is verified with the manufacturing process of some kind of automatic pencil.
