Abstract :
The elastic impedance is the combination of acoustic impedance inversion and AVO technology, which makes it more comprehensive and more intuitive to distinguish the oil and gas information. Nowadays, the studies on elastic impedance mainly focus on the derivation of new elastic impedance formulas and the qualitative analysis of practical application. But there is still a lack of systematic study and discussion for the factors affecting the accuracy of EI formula and the quantitative calculation of EI inversion. This article discusses three factors, K value, incident angle and the convolution model, based on Connolly formula and does some forward modeling to test the factors´ effects. The results show that to avoid the negative influence, a small range of incident angle of seismic data should be used in the course of Connolly EI inversion.
