The emergency management experience of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games

Along with the development of mankind, the complexity of the Olympic Games is increasing, the category and quantity of the Games incidents are also increasing. The effective emergency management is indispensable to the success of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. This article summarizes the emergency management experience of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games as follow: learning from other Organizing Committees about their emergency management experience, establishing the emergency management mechanism and compiling the emergency preplans in the process of venuisation, deepening the understanding of the emergency management by table top exercises, testing and evaluating every aspects of the emergency management in the test events, establishing reasonable Games time emergency management system and mechanism, making full use of technology systems to support the emergency management.
