Abstract :
Results of an investigation of the physical properties of the position-sensitive photomultiplier Hamamatsu R4135 are presented. The purpose of present experiments is to determine which fibres have the best characteristics for use in a scintillating fibre detector system and also to test various photomultiplier tubes to determine their resolution characteristics. Observed performances for fibre identification and position resolutions are reported
