Abstract
Trajectory sensitivity methods are applied to a nonlinear error model of the indirect field-oriented control system. The resulting sensitivity models provide an efficient, systematic approach to studying parameter disturbance problems. Specific issues addressed include quantifying and predicting torque and system transients, system sensitivity evaluation and comparison, and motor parameter identification. The principal limitation of the method is the restricted range of parameter disturbances. Per-unit disturbances of +or-30% are shown to provide accurate results.<>
