  • Abstract
Accurate modelling of power system transients has been a topic of considerable interest in the last 30 years. The EMTP/ATP software suites have been used very successfully to predict transient behaviour in a variety of different power system conditions. This paper considers the transients measured during the energisation of a 5.6 km 132 kV cable system and compares the measured results with existing models in ATP.
