Abstract
This paper proposes a user-driven device handover system in PAN environments. When a user is talking to the correspondent over a video phone, each type of medium in the communication, such as audio and video streams, can be moved from the use´s current device to another device individually by the user´s intuitive device operation. The intuitive device operation means that the user, by using an IrDA pointer, first specifies the source device and then destination device for the handover. This userfriendly handover system allows the user to arbitrarily switch the user devices in a precise but stress-free manner.
