Abstract :
Summary form only given. The characterization of molecular structures around trivalent lanthanide ions (Ln/sup 3+/) is essential for the understanding of biological functions for rare-earth ions as well as for other metal complexes. We report on a powerful spectroscopic technique, cooperative vibronic spectroscopy (CVS), to determine the molecular structures for Ln/sup 3+/ compounds.
