Abstract :
Summary form only. Two or three successive flashes of muon bremsstrahlung processes per minute have been detected using a detector sensitive to such flashes at a city situated at about 900 m above sea level. This observation, made on 16 Feb. 1992, is regarded as the first record near the terrestrial equatorial magnetic region of the effect of solar cosmic rays with protons. The charged pions that traversed, obviously time dilated, and eventually decayed are interpreted to be the source of the charged muons. The latter, in Coulombic interaction with the heavy nuclei of the iron-alloy filter, produced the product elements that, in turn, produced the observed light flashes
