Picture Format Conversion for TV Projection

For TV projection of film material it is necessary to correct picture for format differences. TV projection needs to achieve closest possible artistic atmosphere of original film image. Different balance of picture elements, because of the format correction process, results with different artistic atmosphere of the projected picture. There are different approaches to correction process which depend on film frame format and for best results need to be planed during the film making. Cinema projection does not affect balance of the picture elements and projected picture quality depends on film formats, which are compared in this paper
