Abstract :
This paper presents the analysis of BER and PAPR performance of Wavelet-based OFDM (WOFDM) using different wavelets. We do intensive study on several wavelets from different wavelet families to find out the BER performance and PAPR characteristic of WOFDM system using Haar, Daubechies, Symlet, Coiflet and Discrete Meyer wavelets. Simulation results for the selected wavelets show improvement of 3 dB gain Eb/N0 at the BER of 10-4, and significant PAPR reduction as compared to the conventional OFDM.
