Abstract
Spiral inductors are fundamental components in portable wireless communication equipment. This paper derives simple CAD formulas of the inductance and the capacitance to ground in the equivalent circuit model of square spiral inductors with grounded substrate by duality, analytical moment method, and synthetic asymptote. The average error is less than 2%.
