Abstract
This paper presents the application of polarization-sensitive THG microscopy to examine lipid structures. Significant variations in the THG signals across the lipid film under different tightly focused polarizations were observed, suggesting evidence of ordered regions in lipid structures. This work suggests that THG microscopy equipped with polarization-engineered beams can be used as feasible characterization probes for investigating the nonlinear optical properties of lipid structures.
