Abstract
The paper reports on lasing and sensing properties of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) microgoblet resonators doped with the laser dye Pyrromethene 597 (PM597). The evanescent field of the microgoblet lasers can be used for label-free detection of molecules attaching to the cavity´s surface. Binding of a monolayer of molecules to the cavity´s surface causes a shift of the resonance wavelength due to an increasing cavity radius.
