Abstract :
This paper surveys the impact of the non-idealities of the inverter especially the deadtime on the iron losses of the magnetic materials. While for a given dc input voltage and index modulation, the dead-time reduces the effective output voltage and consequently the maximum flux density, the various compensation methods have a different effect on the iron losses. In this paper, the experimental results in the various conditions are used to analysis the deadtime effect in the different conditions.
