Abstract
The method of direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation for signals based on phase-difference was brought forward. First, apply FFT to the outputs of every array element, then, measure the signals´ frequencies and phases of the peak points. Calculate one by one the phase differences of the peak points corresponding to all the array elements, thus to get the phase delays. Then the DOA can be estimated according to the phase delays. The method of this paper avoids the problem of space-frequency method that DOA resolution depends on the number of the array elements. It has less calculation and is easier to realize. Finally, testing by computer simulation, shows that it has high DOA resolution
