Abstract
Summary form only. There has recently been a marked growth in US utility application of reliability centered maintenance (RCM) methods. The number of nuclear plants having or planning significant investments in RCM has risen to 26, with 28 more units doing pilot programs to get on the learning curve. In 1991, Electricite de France made the decision to apply RCM to all of the French nuclear units
