Abstract
The authors discuss the technology of fission chamber detectors applied in ex-core neutron flux monitoring systems, and consider the relative importance of various advantages of the technology in various European countries. The countries considered are Spain, Sweden, England, France, Belgium, and various Eastern European countries. Systems are also compared with those in the United States
