This paper summarizes the internationalization characteristics of EIFs (early internationalizing firms) and discusses their internationalization drivers based on a literature survey. We propose an analytical framework for the internationalization of EIFs which embraces factors of entrepreneurs, firms and their external environments as antecedents and internationalization behaviors as intermediate variables.
