Abstract :
A method to extract the parameters of a solar cell from the measured dark current-voltage curve is presented. The method uses separate fitting to three different zones in the curve. In each region the current or the voltage is fitted to the model with the least-squares method, the election of current or voltage depending on the dominant error in the region. Piecewise fitting allows the proper accounting of both current and voltage errors without great mathematical complexity.
