Abstract :
This paper presents a qualitative diagnosis model based on system structure. Using structure information, an effective method for finding qualitative diagnoses is brought out. Not losing any possible diagnosis, the diagnostic space is reduced. For the system which limited knowledge is known and the consistency-based diagnosis can´t be got, in other hand, its qualitative diagnosis can be obtained. Furthermore, the relation between qualitative diagnosis, consistency-based diagnosis and causality diagnosis is discussed. At last, this paper defines the adoptability of the diagnostic system and proves that the qualitative diagnosis and the consistency-based diagnosis are adoptable.
