Abstract :
This paper discusses the circuit of a 4L-3B6-VSC and presents the switching states and the output voltage quality of the converter. Furthermore a Space-Vector-Modulation scheme is introduced and the semiconductor losses and its distribution are considered for a 1300V 4L-3B6-VSC with 500kVA. Finally the paper describes a capacitor voltage balancing scheme and its influence on the output voltage quality.
