Abstract
Traditional imaging radar system radiates the same periodic signals so that wavefronts of the radiation fields at different moments are exactly the same, then the targets within the beam cannot be distinguished. Based on a new concept of two-dimensional temporal-spatial stochastic radiation fields, a novel super-resolution staring imaging radar is proposed with its block diagram in this paper. The theoretical analysis proves this imaging method has the super-resolution imaging potentiality beyond the limitation of the traditional antenna aperture, by combining random radiation and associated imaging technique. Finally, the conclusions are demonstrated by the experiment simulations.
