Abstract :
An important characteristic of an adaptive analogue information processing device is the ability to self-organise. Biology suggests the Hebb learning rule as a vehicle for this self-organising behaviour, based upon the strengthening of synaptic connections if activity is correlated. Again biology suggests temporal correlations, via phase locking as the mechanism driving this behaviour. Our aim is to design a model of an oscillatory neural network capable of self-organisation
