Abstract :
This articles demonstrates and discusses the group velocity dispersion and deterministic polarization mode dispersion in an omnidirectional photonic bandgap Bragg fiber (OPBF). Analysis of the mode´s dispersion properties were obtained by a transfer matrix technique while PMD of the elliptically distorted OBPFs was calculated by using a Hamiltoninan formulation of Maxwell´s equation in terms of transverse components of electromagnetic fields.
