Abstract
From the e-SCM process view, we propose a model of E-business capabilities and the performance. An empirical study of 201 manufacturing enterprises in China validates the proposed hypothesizes in the model using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results reveal that (1) the e-business capabilities affect the processes performance directly; (2) the collaboration of processes is critical to meet customers demand and create value for enterprises; (3) the processes performance are the immediate variables before the financial performance. The paper substantiates that e-business capabilities is critical factor in the process of value creation of e-business. Also, it is reasonable to use process performance to measure e-business value. These will help our managers to implement the e-business strategy in the e-SCM effectively and efficiently.
