Abstract :
The increasing complexity of the intensive care patients combined with the recent advances in imaging technology has generated a new perspective on intensive care radiology. But due to the technical and diagnostic limitations of portable radiographic devices, quality of the radiographs is highly variable owing to differences in exposure dose and scattered radiation. The purpose of this article is to apply anisotropic diffusion filtering to process these radiographs, and therefore may help physicians determine the correct placements of lines and tubes in patients´ bodies
