Abstract
In this paper, a multi-modal multi-view video coding scheme (MMVC) based on the correlation analysis is proposed which differs from conventional MVC schemes with single prediction structure. Some advanced MVC prediction structures with excellent performance in random access and low delay have been properly integrated into our flexible and expansible algorithm, which dynamically and adaptively selects the optimal coding structure according to the correlation analysis of the multi-view video. And the experimental results indicate that multi-modal coding scheme achieves lower complexity and shorter path length of random access while maintaining high coding efficiency
