Abstract :
We demonstrate a direct space-to-time optical pulse shaping technique for generation of GHz electromagnetic waveforms. Frequency-modulated optical pulse sequences are stretched in 5.5 km of single-mode fiber and converted to electromagnetic waveforms via fast optical-to-electrical conversion.
