            Abstract :
Electronic system designers must often make the tradeoff between introducing a manufacturable system to the market in a timely fashion and squeezing the most functionality into their system. By using flexible silicon compiler and standard cell technology in a powerful integrated circuit (IC) design tool environment combined with cost-effective electron beam direct write-on-wafer manufacturing technology, this tradeoff is minimized. Using powerful ASIC (application-specific IC) design software combined with multiproject wafer-at-a-time manufacturing enables designers to quickly move from a design concept to a complete system that will get them to market on a safe and timely path in an implementation that adds the most value to the end user marketplace.<>
