Abstract :
In this paper the possibilities for the usage of Liferay as a collaboration and communication platform for m-learning subsystem based on IMS architecture are described. Requirements for tools and services of communication and cooperative work are defined. The single sign-on authentication method with Jasig CAS and LDAP is also presented. The contribution suggests to use open source application BigBlueButton for distance education/web conferencing.
