Abstract :
This paper presents a novel comparative study of two multi-phase medium-frequency (MF) dc-dc converters: a single-active-bridge (SAB) and series-resonant-converter (SRC). Moreover, a new parametric model of SAB converters is developed, where the number of phases is a parameter within the expressions. The analytical comparison is verified with simulation and experimental results, using PLECS software and a 10kW/20kHz/500V laboratory prototype.
