Abstract
A cube two-chamber microbial fuel cell cultivated with Shewanella sp. was investigated and analyzed in terms of voltage generation behavior, maximum attainable power, internal resistance, and operational considerations from the beginning. The results indicated that with a certain architecture of the MFC utilized in this study, about 80% of the maximum power is achievable. Polarization curve were obtained in 10, 47, 116 days after start of operation, showed that there is reverse relationship between internal resistance and power density.
