Abstract
Research in modern educational psychology and cognitive psychology indicates that the cognitive process, maintenance and transference of different categories of knowledge are different, each having its special characteristics and rules. In this paper, we proposed a scheme of knowledge categorization in the computer fundamental educational field. According to the knowledge categorization, we make a deeper research on the cognitive structures of different knowledge categories, and indicate that different category of knowledge should have different knowledge framework for learning. Further more, we proposed a knowledge categorization based knowledge ontology metadata model, and made a discussion of the learning characteristics of this model, which includes knowledge expression, associative learning, knowledge maintenance, thinking fostering, and so on.
