Abstract :
We have experimentally demonstrated 2.5Gb/s C-band burst-mode upstream transmission for TWDM-PON. Using high launched power from a +4.0dBm DFB-LD with low chirp characteristics giving less than 0.6dB penalty after 50km transmission, we could achieve the target split ratio and transmission distance of NGPON2 (1:64 split, Transmission distance > 40km).
