  • Abstract
In this paper, we describe about development and use of remote controlled HD videoconference system that is linked many national university in JAPAN with high-definition picture and high quality audio. In our constructed system, the videoconference system at remote sites start up and shutdown automatically by a reservation server, and connected each other also automatically. Therefore, the use of the system is possible even if a user does not understand the machine operation. We have also developed a simple mechanism for recovery operations, when videoconference is disconnected or the system is not started automatically. Now, System is not only remote connections also be used to connect to the next room. We are continuing the expansion and improvement of systems, videoconferencing and distance learning was to be held on average 2 per day now. This system will increase the use of high-quality video transmission is possible in the future.
