Abstract :
In this paper a torque tracking and reactive-power regulating controller for doubly-fed induction generator is developed. This solution doesn´t need stator current measurements and shows good robustness with respect to parameter uncertainties and measurement errors. Hence machine characterization is not critical and a standard position/velocity sensor (encoder) can be used. The Lyapunov-like method and back-stepping procedure are used to design the controller. A particular starting procedure has been developed in order to minimize initial transient after connection of the generator to the line grid
