Abstract :
US Department of Energy, Oak Ridge National Laboratories (ORNL) and SBE, Inc. report test results comparing the Toyota Lexus, Camry, Prius (both new and end of life) and Kemet capacitors with the SBE Power Ring. While exact comparisons are difficult because of size, shape and terminal configurations the SBE capacitors showed from 4 to 8 times lower temperature rise than the others tested and with substantial volumetric reduction as well.
