  • Abstract
A cross shaped microstrip antenna has been analyzed by using the segmentation method and PUDCM method. In the segmentation method, a cross shaped antenna was divided into three rectangular segments whose Green´s function was known. The overall impedance matrix of a cross shaped antenna can be expressed by using a multiport connection method. In the PUDCM method a cross cavity is seen as a piled-up structure of two rectangular cavities. The electromagnetic fields in a cross cavity can be obtained from a vector potential which satisfies twelve boundary conditions. The electric field distribution at each edge of a cross cavity was expressed as a histogram table with exciting modes.
