  • Abstract
    In this paper, we present a Walsh sequence based channel coding scheme for MIMO-OFDM systems. The new scheme, inspired by the IS-95 standard, is combined with VBLAST to yield a very good BER performance. It is shown that the Walsh block coding scheme is superior to the commonly used convolutional coding in which the performance of VBLAST could not be improved due to the error propagation problem. We will also investigate the performance of the proposed system by considering interleaver as well as different fading environments
