            Abstract :
Development of a space-borne coherent Doppler lidar (CDL) for the Japanese Experiment Module (JEM) of the International Space Station (ISS) is now under way in CRL. Objective of the CDL with an eye-safe solid state laser is the demonstration of effectiveness of global wind profiling.
