  • Abstract
    The improved P-2D HMM is introduced to the driving intentions identification, and the driving intentions identification model based on continuous P-2D HMM was estabLished to identify the driving intention. The vehicle space, speed and lateral acceleration were as inputs, the driving intentions as output. Predict the driving behavior at next period to further enhance active safety. This paper choice the two driving intentions, the speed up or keeping speed and lane-changing or keeping lane, as the two-dimensional of the C-P2D-HMM hidden state, and separately identify of driving intention. Model vaLidation results show that the model can identify driving intentions accurate at the given conditions.
