Abstract :
A real-time damage monitoring system for the high speed collision using Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensor network is proposed in this paper. This system can not only detect and alarm the high speed collision, but also helps to detect the change of other physical parameters, such as temperature, electromagnetic field. The basic optical and electronic theories about this system, as well as the mechanism and mechanics model of FBG sensors, are expressed in this paper.
