Abstract :
The control of distribute parameter systems (DPSs) is difficult because they are spatio-temporal coupling. A fuzzy control strategy is proposed to control a class of DPSs. Firstly, the class of DPS is partitioned into a finite-dimensional slow one and an infinite-dimensional fast component by using time/space separation method. Secondly, the fuzzy control strategy is designed based on the finite-dimensional slow component. The fuzzy control strategy consists of finite-dimensional fuzzy PID controllers. Finally, the proposed method is used to control a rod reaction process. The simulations show the effective of the proposed control method.
