  • Abstract
Digital Orthophoto Map (DOM) provides first-hand basic information for the status investigation of cultural relics as an important approach to reserve and protect cultural relics in their current status. This paper proposes a technology for producing multi-projection and HD-videoed-based thousand-Arm Guanyin DOM by HD videoing the same Bodhisattva hand from multiple projection planes and performing the texture mapping based on multiple projection datum planes to produce high-accuracy digital orthophoto map. This technology decreases distortion of image projection caused by single projection plane in conventional methods and increases DOM accuracy and fidelity. Finally, DOM using single projection plane is compared with DOM using multiple projection planes in terms of accuracy and fidelity.
